Shock sacking could be bad news for Newcastle as ‘big six’ rivals plot ambitious move

Earlier this week, The Telegraph revealed that Spurs coach Ryan Mason was expected to take the Tottenham job until the end of the season now Antonio Conte’s position has become untenable.

However, events over the past 24 hours may have changed that, as Bayern Munich announced the sudden departure of head coach of Julian Nagelsmann last night.

The 35-year-old has already been replaced by Thomas Tuchel, but his sacking comes as a real shock. Bayern are one point behind Borussia Dortmund in the league table, but have won all eight of their Champions League games and have averaged almost three goals per game in the Bundesliga this season.

Sky Sports and the Evening Standard report that the highly-rated German is now under consideration as Spurs search for a potential Conte replacement, while Football Insider claim he’s already been identified as their No.1 target.

We are two points behind Spurs (4th) with two games in hand, so the top four race remains in our hands, but it would be bad news for Newcastle if Conte is replaced by Nagelsmann – especially when recent reports suggested the inexperienced Mason would take over for the final 10 games.

For our sake, let’s hope he prefers to take stock and wait until the summer before committing to his next move.

  1. Spurs either stick with Conte or have Mason stand in til the summer.

They don’t make any permanent appointments until the summer.

Have faith in the team lad . Why would this make any difference.Negative article and lack of belief for our team

I have faith in our team. But it can’t be ignored that Nagelsmann would be a massive upgrade on Mason until the end of the season.
