Four Newcastle United players have made a Premier League Team of the Month following their performances in April.
According to leading stat site WhoScored.com, Martin Dubravka has been the top-performing goalkeeper in the Premier League over the past month, with Fabian Schar, Anthony Gordon and Alexander Isak also making the cut alongside the likes of Ben White, Cole Palmer, Kevin De Bruyne and Bruno Fernandes.
The team is selected based on every Premier League player’s average rating over April, with WhoScored using a host of detail metrics to assess the overall performance of each individual.
Dubravka has often failed to convince since stepping in for Nick Pope, but he picked up an average rating of 7.21 across games against Everton (1-1), Fulham (1-0), Spurs (4-0), Crystal Palace (0-2) and Sheffield United (5-1).
WhoScored report that Gordon (8.18) has been the third best performer in the league over April, behind only Fernandes (8.31) and De Bruyne (8.42). Schar has been the top-rated centre-back at 7.26, while Isak is just behind Havertz (7.99) with an average rating of 7.84 after his five goals in five games last month. See the TOTM in full below:
