Aaron Ramsdale filmed in Newcastle ahead of medical as Sky Sports confirm fee
He may not have been the name many people were expecting, but Aaron Ramsdale is set to be the next player to sign for Newcastle United this summer.
The Southampton goalkeeper joins Anthony Elanga as a Premier League-proven option to bolster Howe's squad for next season, although this has to be the first of many signings over the next four weeks.
Arriving as competition for Nick Pope, Ramsdale's distribution skills rank amongst the highest in the league, giving us a new option after a move for James Trafford ultimately failed.

Downie reports that Newcastle will pay a ยฃ4m loan fee to have him for the season, with the price required to make his move permanent not yet known.
Southampton signed Ramsdale for an initial ยฃ18m last August, with that deal including a potential ยฃ7m extra in potential add-ons.
