Another quick site update...
It's about time for another quick update on this pretty newly created site. As you all know, I like to keep all of you guys in the loop and there are some big changes on the way so it's important that I mention it separately.
I'll start with the most important one, which is obviously the name of the site. Don't panic too much as it's just a slight change, but it's an important one all the same. You all know this place as nufcblog.info, which is good, but it will soon be changing to nufcblog.co.uk which is much much better. It's tidier and is more recognised than the current .info and will help to grow this place, with the help of you guys of course!
Originally I wanted the .co.uk anyway, but somebody had already bought it which made it unavailable. That has changed now though, which may or may not have something to do with hired muscle, hammer's, rope and a pair of pliers. You will still be able to use the .info extension for a while yet though as both of them will work, but in the long term it will be .co.uk that needs to be used. I'll let you all know when the change takes effect.
For those who are unaware, we now have a forum which gives you another way to converse with your fellow Newcastle fans. You can create your own conversation in there and don't have to listen to me whittling on all the time. It's relatively new, but it's pretty easy to use and is open now. You can access it by clicking on the 'NUFC Forum' link in the top menu bar.
Comment numbers were something that people kept asking about, and now we have them. This will make it easier to reference other posters.
There will be more stuff going on in the background, but that is for the future. In the meantime the focus will be on growing this place and continuing to provide a decent 'blog (and forum ;) ) for you all to comment on.
If anyone is using a Blackberry to view this site could you please let me know if you are experiencing any difficulties? If you could try and post a comment using it that would be great, but if you could log in (bottom of mobile page on the right) and then post a comment it would be brilliant as that is what has been identified as a potential issue by one user. Basically this is just to find out whether it is his phone, or whether the site doesn't like Blackberry's. If it's the latter I can fix it.
Onwards and upwards!
