10 dates for the diary ahead of NUFC's Premier League return
Newcastle United are set to kick off their Premier League campaign with the visit of Tottenham to St. James' Park on August 13th, and we've been looking through the fixture list and have came up with 10 key dates for you diary ahead of Newcastle's return to the top flight:
1. The trip to Wembley
Following our opening day clash with Spurs at St. James' Park, Newcastle's away fixture against Tottenham will include a trip to Wembley on Saturday 17th March.

2. Rafa's return to Anfield
Rafa Benitez will make his return to Anfield on Saturday 3rd March as Newcastle face a tough trip to face Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool. Prior to this, Newcastle will entertain Liverpool at St. James' Park on Saturday 30th September.

3. The festive period
The festive period will see Newcastle face a Boxing day clash against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City at St. James' Park (Tuesday 26th December). We will then face another home game on the 30th December against Chris Hughton's Brighton, followed by an away trip to Stoke on New Years Day.

4. Rafa's rivalry with Mourinho renewed
The rivalry between Rafa Benitez and Jose Mourinho has been rife over the last decade, making Newcastle's upcoming tussles with Mourinho's Manchester United made all the more interesting. Newcastle are due at Old Trafford on Saturday 18th November, with the visit of Mourinho's men to St. James' Park expected to be on Saturday 10th February.

5. The Brighton battle resumed
After doing the double on them last season and pipping them to the Championship title on the final day, Newcastle will resume their fierce battle with Brighton in the Premier League next season. A trip to the Amex is scheduled for Saturday 23rd September, with Chris Hughton's return to St. James' Park all set for the 30th December.

6. The Champions
Newcastle will face a trip to face last season's Premier League Champions, Chelsea, on Saturday 2nd December. Rafa Benitez will then welcome his former club to St. James' Park on the final day of the season on Sunday 13th May.
