NUFC legend launches scathing attack on Aleksandar Mitrovic

Newcastle United legend Malcolm Macdonald has launched a scathing attack on Aleksandar Mitrovic, stating he would 'get him out as quickly as possible', claiming the Serbian 'hasn't got a clue' in a recent interview with The Chronicle.
Mitrovic divides opinion and righty so, and whilst SuperMac does deliver a few home truths, we believe some of his comments are overly harsh towards the young Serbian:

I admit to having doubts over Mitrovic's ability to become a top striker - he misses too many chances - but to say 'he hasn't got a clue' is a little harsh? He's 22 and it's also interesting to see Macdonald slate his hold up play; which is arguably his best trait?
"I’d get him out as quickly as possible. He doesn’t have a clue, he really doesn’t have a clue.
“He just doesn’t get it… If anything Mitrovic has gone backwards. Whatever he does in internationals is no relevance to Newcastle
“On what he’s done this past season I wouldn’t have him in the club, he’s just taking up room.
“To finish with a tally of four – in his position I would have been embarrassed.”
“He wasn’t able to do it at Championship level, he’s not going to do it at the Premier League level. They [Premier league defenders] will make him look like a fool.”
