Reliable source confirms Rafa's interest in bringing exciting Argentinian international to NUFC
According to The Chronicle's Lee Ryder, Newcastle do in fact hold an interest in Atletico Madrid forward Angel Correa, with the club said to be considering both he and/or Arsenal's Lucas Perez.
Spanish outlet Mi Otra Liga.com claimed yesterday that Rafa Benitez had made contact with the agent of Atletico Madrid attacker Angel Correa in an attempt to lure him to Tyneside, and such rumours have since been validated by the often reliable Lee Ryder:

Correa is a 22-year old attacker who, like Lucas Perez, can operate centrally or wide right. Similarly to Perez he has failed to nail down a regular starting birth, however has bagged an impressive 10 goals and 8 assists for Atletico Madrid last season, despite 28 of his 49 appearances being made as a substitute.
With Perez believed to be open to a move to Tyneside and our interest in Correa now confirmed, it is good to see our calibre of attacking targets improve, with it being widely accepted that we require an injection of attacking spark in the final third.
Talk is cheap however - it's now time to make our move. Who would you prefer? Let us know.
