Goals from Ayoze Perez and Christian Atsu sealed a convincing 2-0 win over Serie A side Hellas Verona in our final pre-season friendly before the big kick and we've brought you the goals.
The opening goal was beautifully worked, with Jonjo Shelvey expertly finding the marauding Javier Manquillo down the right, who’s perfectly placed cross was swept home on the volley by the onrushing Ayoze Perez:

The second wasn't quite as eye catching, but was very well taken by the impressive Christian Atsu, with the ball finding it's way to the Ghanaian after Verona failed to deal with Jonjo Shelvey's ball up to Aleksandar Mitrovic:

A promising performance from the lads with some stand-out displays from the likes of Manquillo, Atsu, Shelvey and Lejeune to name a few.
