Exclusive claims Aleksandar Mitrovic has been 'offered' to Premier League rivals for January sale
According to an exclusive in the Daily Mail, NUFC outcast Aleksandar Mitrovic has been offered to West Ham ahead of the January transfer window.
Ironically, Mitro's only league goal has came against the Hammers this season - but it's not like he's been given many minutes.
He's been featured in four of our last 5, but has only been brought on from the bench for late cameo appearances in each of those outings, with it looking increasingly likely that he has no place in Benitez's long term plans at the club.
Here's a quote from the Daily Mail, stating that the Serbian has been offered to David Moyes' relegation threatened side:
"West Ham have an interest in signing Fyodor Smolov from Krasnodar and are also understood to have been offered Aleksandar Mitrovic from Newcastle."
Whether Moyes is interested (or this is even true) is a different matter, but a striker will almost certainly be top of our priority list in January - whether Rafa has money to spend or is operating in the loan market.
With limited funds to spend and Mitrovic seeing so little game time, his sale may be the best for all parties, allowing us all to move forward, even if he is popular figure amongst several supporters.
