Rafa doesn't normally give much away in his pre-match pressers, and he probably hasn't here, but NUFC fans have been left intrigued by his response to questions about his January budget and a potential takeover today - saying he's hopeful we'll have some good news on both fronts soon enough.
Benitez has been in the dark over what he could have to play with in the January window, and hasn't seemed to know much about the takeover talks ticking away in the background either.
He didn't share a great deal in today's presser on that front, but here's his intriguing response when asked if there was anything to report regarding his January budget or a potential takeover:
"Hopefully after the Everton game we will have a win and some good news and people will be happy".
For context, this line came after he admitted to having a recent meeting with Lee Charnley..
