Sky Sports: West Ham 'happy' to do swap deal with NUFC after being offered Chancel Mbemba
According to Sky sources, Newcastle have offered Chancel Mbemba to West Ham - and the Hammers are said to be 'happy' to include striker Diafra Sakho in any potential deal for the centre-back.
It had been suggested that the Senegalese striker could be set for an £11m move to Crystal Palace, however it was stated yesterday that we could make a 'late move' to bring him to St James' Park.
Mbemba, like Mitrovic, does not appear to be in Benitez's long-term plans and although they're very rare in this day and age, a potential swap deal or part exchange could make a lot of sense for both parties.

To put it simply, we want a striker and they want a centre-back. We don't seem to have the means to spend £11m on Sakho, but swapping Mbemba for him would allow us to pull of this deal and bring in a forward without outlaying a great deal of cash.
It still seems a little bit dubious given the rarity of these deals happening, but you can see why Newcastle would be looking to do this.
