Karma strikes as Aston Villa are threatened with the unthinkable - Priceless news for NUFC fans
It's emerged that our old friends Aston Villa are in a bit of a pickle, having suspended CEO Keith Wyness as HMRC threaten to hit the club with winding-up order after failing to pay a multimillion pound tax bill - meaning they seriously facing administration.
For clarity here, a 'winding up order' is a Court order that forces an insolvent company into compulsory liquidation - meaning the consequences will be terminal if they fail to pay the remaining tax-bill over the next week.
Why is this being reported on a Newcastle United page you may wonder? Well, just two years ago there were banners up at Aston Villa to mock our relegation (and not for the first time). After today's news, it's fair to say we are now having the last laugh.
What's gone on at Villa recently is the very definition of karma. 'No sobbing on the Holte' they said as they kicked us when we were down in 2009 and in 2016. How the tables have turned.

Not only are they facing another year in the Championship after losing last month's play-off final, they are now facing a battle to keep their club alive.
I don't want to see them go under (it would be an unbearably sad day for so many of their supporters who simply don't deserve this), but this could hit them hard. They're almost certain to lose the vast majority of their star players this summer -something they already feared prior to this shocking news.
