Mike Ashley's shocking response when confronted by a NUFC fan about Rafa Benitez
As revealed Ketch - a Match of the Day writer and avid Newcastle fan - Mike Ashley repeatedly said 'NO' when asked last night if he was finally going to give Rafa Benitez some money to spend this summer.
You may well be wondering why Ashley would speak to a fan while out in London on a Wednesday night, but Ketch (@Ketchell) insists that this interaction comes from a good friend of his who he '100%' trusts.
To rub salt into our wounds, he also claims that Ashley was 'dismissive', 'made no eye contact' and had a 'daft grin on his face' as he addressed the friend of his who approached him.
He states that the interaction definitely happened, however he does admit that he couldn't be sure whether Ashley took it seriously or not - not that this takes away from his jovial comments in the wake of yet another crisis at the club.
Here's what Ketch shared on his personal Twitter page late last night, detailing Ashley's pathetic responses when confronted by a NUFC fan:

Some will struggle to believe all of this (and I can understand why), but do remember this all comes from a man working for Match of the Day who's conducted several interviews at the club (most recently Jamaal Lascelles), with him also being an avid Newcastle fan who does not seem the sort to share nonsense to get a few cheap thrills - especially not after Rafa Benitez's damning comments last night.
Whether Ashley was joking or not, this is a complete and utter disgrace if true.
How he can be so jovial and care-free about a situation that's left the club, us fans and Rafa Benitez in total disarray I will never know - although this just sums up how little he cares about our club.
