Premier League giants keen to sign Aleksandar Mitrovic - but his price tag has 'soared' - Report
According to The Mirror, Aleksandar Mitrovic has now emerged as a target for Chelsea - with the Blues believed to be one of several clubs who have been highly impressed by the Serbian so far this season.
As we all know, the 24-year old was sold to Fulham for £22m this summer, with him going on to score four Premier League goals in five appearances so far this season - also netting twice for Serbia during the recent international break.
He's had a brilliant 2018 and is thriving in a side that know exactly how to play to his strengths at Fulham, with The Mirror's John Richardson now claiming that Maurizio Sarri is 'monitoring' the striker after being unsure about current options Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud.
The piece does insist that he would not come cheap should Chelsea (or anyone else) come calling in January, stating that his asking price has already soared after his impressive start to the season - which is saying something given he was sold for £22m rising to £27m just a few months ago.
Does this prove that Rafa was wrong not to give him more of a chance, or do you feel that Benitez's system and our style of play was never suited to get the best out of Mitrovic?
