Bookies name the THREE sides they expect to be relegated – They don't often get it wrong..

by Olly Hawkins ·

Rafa Benitez stated this week that he's now hoping there'll be 'three sides worse than us' this season, and the bookies clearly think there will be - with Huddersfield, Cardiff and Fulham now the favourites to go down ahead of NUFC.

Considering we are bottom of the league and without a win in any of our nine games so far after our worst start to a season since 1898, this is good to know - especially when the bookies rarely get it wrong.

According to odds from leading bookmakers Ladbrokes, Paddy Power, Bet 365 and William Hill, Newcastle are 7/4 to be relegated - with Fulham (6/4), Cardiff (1/3) and Huddersfield (4/11) lying behind us as the three favourites.

Some bookies also have Burnley at the same odds as Newcastle (7/4), with Crystal Palace and Southampton the next two clubs

I back Huddersfield and Cardiff to go down but still feel Fulham may have too much in attack - however they are almost conceding an average of 3 goals a game after letting in 25 goals in 9 games (almost double the amount of goals we've let in!).

Interestingly, Rafa Benitez is the fourth favourite at 6/1 when it comes to the next manager to be given the boot - with Man Utd's Jose Mourinho, Southampton's Mark Hughes and Fulham's Slavisa Jokanovic all ahead of him in the sack race with the bookies.
