NUFC reporter shares takeover update as 'wealthy' party are confirmed to be in 'advanced talks'
According to the Telegraph's North-East reporter Luke Edwards, a 'wealthy' party signed a non-disclosure agreement last month, with them being financially capable of meeting Mike Ashley's asking price 'without complications'.
Edwards has since admitted on his own personal Twitter account that he knew 'advanced takeover talks' had been underway for a few weeks now, however he was initially reluctant to share given he'd 'heard it all before'.
It could yet be another red herring, however he insists that talks have now been 'progressing well' - with this all fitting in with what Ashley has said today during his revealing interview with Sky news.
Here's a snippet from his piece in the Telegraph on Monday night:
“Telegraph Sport understands that non-disclosure agreements were signed last month and the interested party is wealthy enough to do the deal without complications in terms of the asking price”.

All we can do at this stage is keep everything crossed - although don't use this 'positive news' as a reason to not boycott Wolves if you were going to.
Nothing is done yet and we've seen how things panned out this time last year, so we must keep the pressure on!
