Alan Shearer has shared his brutal assessment of Saturday's defeat to Watford, simply tweeting "PATHETIC..AGAIN!" after we crashed out the FA Cup in pitiful style at St James' Park
The defeat meant this is now the 13th straight year where we’ve failed to reach the last 16 of the FA Cup - a stat that completely sums up this miserable Mike Ashley era.
It wasn't just the defeat, it was the nature of it - with it being a sad reminder of just how poor we are when a few of our key first-team players are missing.
