Dubai TV presenter sends NUFC fans into pandemonium with huge takeover claim

by Olly Hawkins ·

Hamed Alharthi - a Dubai TV presenter with over 400,000 followers on Twitter - claims a deal is 'done' between Sheik Khaled and Newcastle United.

In response to last night's claims of a £350m takeover, local reporter and Sky news insisted that a deal was still 'some way' off being completed, however Hamed's latest post suggests otherwise - and it's sent Newcastle fans into disarray on social media as a result.

Here's what he's posted on social media in the last few minutes:

Hamed Alharthi is a TV presenter at Dubai Media Incorporated, having almost half a million followers on Twitter, however it remains to be seen if these claims from the Middle-East are entirely accurate.

Everything in the Middle-East pointing towards it being done, but I won't hold my breath until we hear conformation from the club.

We've had our fingers burnt and our hopes dashed too many times to get completely carried away - even if things do feel a little different this time around.
