TalkSPORT 'pundit' makes ridiculous claim about Rafa & NUFC fans - 'they'd never forgive him'
Speaking on talkSPORT, Steve Harmison has claimed that Newcastle fans would "never forgive" Rafa Benitez if he walked away from the club when his contract expires on June 30th.
While I do agree with that Steve's stance on this big-money offer from China (see clip below), he couldn't be more wrong about how us fans would react should Rafa walk and seems pretty clueless about the whole situation.
It's absolutely ridiculous to suggest we'd not 'forgive' a man who's been one of the few people who have refused to give up on this club over the years.
Here's what Harmison's had to say live on talkSPORT earlier today:
“If he leaves Newcastle with four or five days to go until pre-season, with no transfer targets, they would never forgive Ashley, but they would never forgive Rafa as well."
What Steve should have said is this - 'If Rafa leaves Newcastle four days before pre-season, they'd thanks Benitez for his efforts but never ever forgive Mike Ashley.'
Now THAT better represents the current situation and the thoughts of Newcastle fans should the worst happen in 9 days time.
Absolute rubbish from Harmison, who seems so out of touch with both supporters and the current situation Benitez is dealing with here.
