Mike Ashley agrees new £52m deal - but NUFC left with no manager & no takeover update
Mike Ashley has shown where his priorities lie once again, with the NUFC owner agreeing a £52m takeover of GAME today.
He's shown his true colours here, with him opting to ignore the uncertainty surrounding 'his' football club and instead splash cash on struggling high-street stores.
His complete and utter neglect of Newcastle United football club is beyond belief - even by his low standards.
We have a manager who's contract expires in no days time, no new signings, no number nine and no contract renewals - yet the season starts in just 50 days time.
Ashley bought a 26% stake in GAME back in 2017. That's since increased to 40% and it looks like his latest move is a bid to get gamers into House of Fraser - with it suggested that he could take away GAME shops and move them into his HoF stores.
The sooner he sells up the better - although you can't help but fear he'll stay, let others milk his cash cow at NUFC while he plots his next move for the latest struggling high-street chain.
