Ex-NUFC striker launches brutal attack on Mike Ashley - & he's hit the nail on the head
Ex-Newcastle United striker Mick Quinn has slated the club and Mike Ashley following our disastrous summer so far.
As he points out in the brutal but bang on tweet below, we are only 39 days away from the new season yet have no Rafa, no new manager, no takeover update, no new signings, no Perez - stating 'Cashley' will be '£30m better off' as a result.
Yet, in all of this, the club will be asking us to spend hundreds (and thousands for some!) to renew our season tickets:
Unfortunately, he's hit the nail on the head - especially with the last line. The club are selling our replica kit at £65, the most expensive in the league, and Ashley has raised season ticket prices....all for what? Oh, and this is all missing the fact our player of the season and best striker is now gone.
The fans have no reason to sign up and continue lining Ashley's pockets, but just imagine how poor the players motivation levels are too. They must be wondering where on earth the club are going right now, so you couldn't blame a single one of them for having second thoughts about staying should an offer come their way.
What a mess.
