NUFC reporter responds to reports claiming N'soki's £10m move from PSG has broken down
According to French outlets GFFN and L'Equipe, Newcastle's move for Stanley N'Soki has reached 'breaking point' after the club submitted a series of 'low-ball' contract offers to the PSG left-back.
That said, just moments after these frustrating claims from France emerged, the Chronicle's Andrew Musgrove has revealed that it's his understanding that the two parties are close to agreeing terms over a contract, with the 20-year-old 'very keen to join by all accounts'.
This comes after we agreed a £10m fee with the Ligue 1 giants just yesterday, with us now entering contract talks to complete his potential move to Tyneside.
Confirmation that he was picked in PSG's squad ahead of their latest pre-season friendly in China tomorrow was a slight concern, however it felt like a deal should still be straight forward considering we'd agreed a fee fo a player reportedly keen to sign.
We now await the truth.
GFFN claim that 'contract talks have ended' until we improve the personal terms being offered to the French left-back, yet the Chronicle indicate that we're not far away from an agreement.
Let's hope the latter is correct!
