According to widespread local reports, Andy Carroll is now edging closer to a sensational return to Newcastle United - however a move could hinge on him passing a medical.
It was suggested last week that Bruce had decided against a move for the 30-year-old last week, but Lee Ryder now claims that the two parties are in talks today, with medical checks underway and the player desperate to complete a return to Tyneside.
