The stunning Saint-Maximin stat that should give every NUFC fan hope..

by Jamie Elliott ·

Allan Saint Maximin has today been revealed as the most successful dribblers in The top five leagues in Europe.

Our Gucci headband wearing flying Frenchman tops the list with an average of 5.7 successful attempts per game.

He is joined by 2 other Premier League stars in the top 7, Crystal Palace’s Wilfred Zaha and Arsenal’s Nicholas Pepe.

He certainly is capable of getting the crowd on their feet, and is a great spectacle when he’s in his full stride with the ball at his feet.

I was listening to the True Faith podcast yesterday and Adam Widdrington made a very good point on the show when talking about Saint Maximin. We can all admit that following Newcastle hasn’t produced that many moments of quality football or excitement, in the last couple of years, in the Premier League anyway. However when Saint Maximin picks up the ball and drives at players, you genuinely feel something can happen, and Widdrington said yesterday, it gives you a buzz we haven’t felt in a while and almost makes you remember why we love football and supporting our team.

Of course the trouble in paradise is that he needs to add some end product to his game, as he is yet to score or register an assist in black and white yet.

His goal record in France isn’t anything to write home about either, however there’s no denying his ability, or his potential and if we are going to pull ourselves clear of the relegation zone, he’s going to be crucial.

He can start with a couple of goals on Saturday at West Ham.
