Sky Sports reveal DOUBLE transfer blow - Striker says 'no' & Bruce to miss out on Bowen?
Some bad news on the transfer front this afternoon, with Keith Downie confirming that Olivier Giroud has REJECTED a loan offer from Newcastle United.
Sky Sports claim we've made a second attempt to bring the Frenchman to St James' Park over the last 48 hours, but have revealed this afternoon that the Chelsea striker has turned down our approach.

Sky Sports have also confirmed reports Jarrod Bowen is closing in on move to Crystal Palace, stating the Hull City star is in talks to sign at Selhurst Park for a deal worth around £16m plus add ons.
The 23-year-old has regularly been described as a 'top target' of Steve Bruce's over the past few months, but it looks like we'll miss out on the Championship goal machine in the next 24 hours if we don't act fast.
Missing out on Giroud is one of those things - he seems to wants a return to Europe or to stay in London according to Lee Ryder - but we may seriously regret refusing to pay £16m plus for Jarrod Bowen.
