NUFC player at fault for 4 goals as highlights from 5-1 mauling at Middlesbrough emerge - Video
Middlesbrough have released highlights from their 5-1 win over Newcastle United today, and it looks to have been a game to forget for French centre-back Florian Lejeune.
I don't like to single out individuals when we've clearly been poor as a team to lose so convincingly against a Championship side that were battling to stay up just a few months ago, but he appears to be at fault for at least FOUR of their five goals.
Watch the highlights from today's hammering on Teeside below:
As you can see above, he's outmuscled by Assombalonga for their first, fails to close down the cross that sets up their second, doesn't get tight enough for their third and is beaten in the air for their fourth.
We don't know who conceded the penalty for Boro's fifth, but for his sake I hope it wasn't Lejeune!
With Arsenal centre-back Rob Holding expected to arrive on loan this week and the Frenchman slipping down Steve Bruce's pecking order over the past season, it would not surprise me if he's moved on this summer.
A classy centre-back on his day, however you can't help but fear that two ACL injuries in as many years has got the better of the 29-year-old.
