Allan Saint-Maximin set to sign until 2026 as he's offered big pay rise at NUFC - Report
As revealed by The Mail's Craig Hope, Allan Saint-Maximin is all set to sign a new SIX-year deal at St James' Park.
Hope reported over the summer that the Frenchman was looking for improved terms after seeing several Newcastle United stars on MUCH more than his £36,000 per-week, however it seems the club will now be giving him a considerable pay rise following his electric first season at St James' Park.
Interestingly, this appears to explain the cryptic tweet ASM posted on Twitter earlier this morning, showing a timer that was almost up - suggesting something was about to happen:
Cynics may fear this only protects is value - and a few worry that there'll be a release clause put into his new improved deal - however this can only be seen as good news as far as I'm concerned.
ASM is our most talented player (certainly our most exciting!) and is absolutely crucial to this side.
With that and his previous salary in mind (which isn't much more than what Henri Saivet earns!), he deserves to be one of our best players!
