Shock result for NUFC as Sky Sports predict relegation battle & final Premier League table

Sky Sports are predicting that we will stay up by a massive TEN points come the end of the season.

Their projected table is based on current goals scored, conceded and average points per game, with relegation rivals Fulham occupying third bottom.

Most Toon fans would say this table is extremely far-fetched given the fact that Fulham could slice the deficit to just three points if they beat rock-bottom Sheffield United tonight!

Nevertheless, here Sky’s predicted Premier League table in full:

While Fulham do have a winnable couple of games coming up in Sheffield United (H) and Crystal Palace (A), Scott Parker's side do have to endure a tough run of games after that - with Tottenham, Liverpool, Man City, Leeds and Aston Villa their next five games to follow.

Once we get Man Utd out the way on Sunday, a trio of huge fixtures fall upon us with Wolves (H), West Brom (A) and Aston Villa (H) all to play.

It's also worth noting that we play Fulham at Craven Cottage on the final day of the season. Let's hope we're more than three points clear by then, otherwise we'll be in for an absolutely horrible finale in our latest fight for survival!
