Journalist close to Steve Bruce releases disastrous 'breaking news' on the NUFC boss' future

by Olly Hawkins ·

According to some 'breaking news' from The Telegraph's Luke Edwards, Newcastle United will NOT be sacking Steve Bruce anytime soon.

Edwards - a North East reporter and 'friend' of the NUFC boss' - says he's been told that he will 'definitely' still be in charge for our upcoming clash with Aston Villa and look set to keep his job "well beyond that"...somehow.

This comes after our 0-0 draw with second bottom West Brom left us with just TWO wins in our last 18 games - made even worse by the fact relegation rivals Fulham close the gap to just one after beating Liverpool at Anfield.

Here's Luke Edwards' 'breaking news' on the future of Bruce:

A disastrous update for us fans and the future of our club, with it becoming increasingly clear that we are only heading one way under his reign - and that's down.

We know Mike Ashley is a risk taker and THE most careless owner in the Premier League, but how he can sit there and do nothing when the manager of our club says he's "really, really pleased" with a point at West Brom is beyond me just moments before Fulham show us how it's really done at Anfield.

You'd think we would've learnt our lesson by now given the way things went under McClaren, yet here we are again - sleepwalking into another relegation and now the favourites to go down alongside West Brom and Sheffield United.
