Newcastle set to make move for Allan Saint-Maximin's former teammate - Report

Newcastle are eyeing up a summer move for French striker Evann Guessand, according to the Daily Mail.

They report that we are battling Premier League rivals Southampton for his signature, with the highly-rated OGC Nice man a former a teammate of Allan Saint-Maximin's following their time together in France.

The 19-year-old stands 6ft 1' tall, being described as a 'strong, fast and technically gifted' player in Matt Barlow's piece for The Mail.

Guessand - a France youth international with Ivorian roots - has just enjoyed an impressive loan spell with Swiss side Lausanne Sport, bagging 7 goals and 4 assists in 22 starts.
