New Saudi takeover claims emerge from former beIN Sports reporter - Promising comments
Former beIN Sports journalist Ben Jacobs has given a promising update on the arbitration process for our stalled Saudi takeover, claiming that he's expecting the deal to go through after speaking to sources on both sides of the deal.
Jacobs has closely followed the case throughout the process but has had to fend off claims from antagonistic Toon fans who often called him biased towards the Premier League.
He has vehemently denied all allegations of have an anti-takeover stance, and has actually spoken about how he admires Newcastle United as a club.
Speaking to the Loaded HQ podcast, Jacobs claims that the takeover will undeniably happen if Nick de Marco - Mike Ashley’s lawyer - can prove separation between PIF and the Saudi state.
He also explains why it may not be as complex as some think to prove separation, just enough so that the other directors listed - and not the Saudi state itself - will be handling the day-to-day running of our club.
