Sky Sports 'breaking news' confirms Newcastle United loan deal has now broken down

Hamza Choudhury's proposed move to Newcastle United has 'broken down', according to some breaking news from Sky Sports.

They state that Steve Bruce was 'desperate' to bring the midfielder to St James' Park - having also tried to sign him in January - however the two clubs failed to reach an agreement ahead of tonight's 11pm deadline.

Sky Sports claim that Leicester even offered a host of compromises when it came to the 23-year-old's wages, yet we still couldn't get this over the line.

Bringing in Joe Willock may have been a positive move earlier this month, however we will now head into the first half of the 2021/22 season without the centre-back, holding midfielder and back up striker we so badly needed.
