Allan Saint-Maximin stunned one Toon fan when he surprised him with a watch when arriving at St James' Park before Saturday's 3-3 draw with Brentford.

Our talisman gifted the Tag Heuer AquaRacer - worth around £1,500 - out of the blue to a supporter who was only expecting a picture or a photograph with the winger.

Michael Urwin, the Toon fan who received the watch, has since taken to Twitter to reveal how “dumbfounded” he was after being given such a gift, calling the Frenchman a “true Geordie” after making his day after "nearly 30 years" of coming to St James' Park.
