Eddie Howe: Three ruled out, one doubt and one could return against Norwich tomorrow

Eddie Howe has been speaking to the press this morning ahead of tomorrow's crucial clash with Norwich at St James' Park.

He's confirmed that Jamaal Lascelles and Matt Ritchie are suspended after picking up their fifth bookings of the season at Arsenal, while Paul Dummett (calf) remains out.

Elsewhwere, Dwight Gayle could return to the squad after a hamstring complaint saw him miss out on Saturday's matchday squad.

Elliot Anderson is also an early doubt, with the talented teenager suffering an injury in the U23s' abandoned clash with Aston Villa on Friday.

Here's what Howe's had to say when asked for an injury update.

"We have the two suspensions [Jamaal Lascelles & Matt Ritchie].

"They're going to be big misses for us with the experience they have.

"But I don't think there are any fresh injuries from Saturday."

"Dwight Gayle may possibly be back."

So, we could see Jamal Lewis replace Matt Ritchie at left-back - although it's not a given after the former Norwich star has played just six minutes of EPL football all season.

At the back, it'll surely be one of Federico Fernandez or Ciaran Clark - two players who were left out of the side for Saturday's 2-0 defeat at The Emirates.
