Embarrassing claims as Gabby Agbonlahor says this is why NUFC will struggle to sign in January
Former Aston Villa forward Gabby Agbonlahor has suggested that players “don’t want to live in Newcastle” in the aftermath of our 2-0 defeat to Arsenal.
The ex-England international names the weather and the distance from London as key reasons why it will be hard for us to attract players in January.
Agbonlahor, from Birmingham - a city branded as one of the worst places in the western world by Ofsted in 2013 - slammed the city, even going as far to say players would rather play for Brentford on a lower wage instead.
NUFC are widely expected to splash our new-found cash in the upcoming January transfer window in a desperate attempt to stay in the Premier League.
It won't be easy from a footballing perspective if we're bottom of the table and cut adrift, but professional troll Agbonlahor has instead ripped into the city and region when attempting to explain why we'll have trouble.
One would question whether Agbonlahor has ever even been to Newcastle, other than when he played there at club level…
