Benitez sacked - Ex-Mag set for caretaker role & two names in the frame to replace him at Everton
Former Newcastle United boss Rafa Benitez has been sacked by Everton.
The Spaniard lost NINE of his last 12 Premier League fixtures for the Toffees, with yesterday's 2-1 defeat at Norwich clearly the final straw.
The Telegraph report that former Toon striker Duncan Ferguson will now take charge as their new caretaker manager, with Roberto Martinez - a reported target for Newcastle before Howe's appointment - and Derby boss Wayne Rooney currently being considered for the role.
As for Benitez, he now joins a lengthy list of managerial casualties since Farhad Moshiri took charge at Goodison Park, as Roberto Martinez, Ronald Koeman, Sam Allardyce and Marco Silva have now all been dismissed under his ownership.
This comes after former boss Carlo Ancelotti walked out on the club to join Real Madrid back in June, seeing them turn to Benitez after he left his role in China last year.
So, what next for Rafa?
