Late domino effect on the cards as Brighton plan to land Toon target on loan if NUFC sign Burn - Report
Just yesterday, The Athletic revealed that Tottenham's Joe Rodon was one of several back-up options on Newcastle's radar should we fail to land our top centre-back targets.
One of those is believed to be Brighton's Dan Burn, who has emerged as a player we are looking to sign before Monday's 11pm deadline.
Now, The Mail are reporting that there could be a domino effect involving both in the final three days of the transfer window, as Graham Potter is looking to sign Rodon on loan if Burn ends up arriving on Tyneside!
Given the Seagulls would probably need a replacement in order to sanction Burn's exit, not to mention the fact Potter knows Rodon well from their time together at Swansea, it could work perfectly for all parties if both of these deals went through.
Burn is also believed to be keen on a return to the North-East, being a local lad and boyhood fan who was released by the club at the age of 11, however we will need to agree a fee with Brighton first.
