VIDEO - Geordie talent scores stunning goal from 45-yards as U23s end the season on a high

Newcastle winger Tom Allan scored from almost the halfway line as our U23s beat Aston Villa 2-1 to end a run of four successive defeats and conclude their Premier League Two Division Two campaign.

The 22-year-old scored the first goal of the tie in stunning fashion as he lobbed the Villa goalkeeper Oliwier Zych from about 45-yards out before the Birmingham side quickly equalised.

Ultimately, the victory secured an eight-place finish in the league, just one-point off of fifth placed Norwich and a chance to go into the playoffs for promotion to Division One.

The young forward made his first-team debut in a 4-1 FA Cup victory over Rochdale in January 2020, where he came off the bench to assist Joelinton for the fourth goal.
