Following a completely dominant performance in a 2-0 victory over Arsenal, Ant and Dec have praised the 'electric' atmosphere in the ground and were 'blown away' by the fans.

The Geordie duo watched on from the stands, but were waving flags pitch-side and speaking to NUFC TV after the game, being one of several to get involved in the truly magical post-match scenes at St James' Park.

See what they had to say below:

In what was one of the most memorable nights at St James' Park - players, owners and staff all showed their appreciation for the unbelievable support shown to the club all season.

No player could be criticised for their lack of effort, each and every one of them played for the badge on their shirt and they were duly rewarded for their efforts by both the result and the fans singing every song they could possibly think of.

Leading up to the game, Wor Flags produced their greatest display yet, and it really showed on the pitch just how much the dedication and support means to those players.

Co-owner Amanda Staveley was also quick to praise the players for their tremendous performance, embracing all of them individually in a hug on the pitch - and she didn't even forget about Dwight Gayle.

And as we all know, the dressing room team photo has become a fan favourite - but our end of season photo might just top the lot, a historic moment for us all to look back on in years to come.
