Sky Sports 'breaking news' - Sven Botman now en-route to Tyneside for Newcastle medical

The Monday morning news we were all hoping for has arrived on Sky Sports News, who've revealed that Sven Botman is on his way to Tyneside as we speak.

They report that the Dutch defender is flying to Newcastle "right now" to have his medical at the club.

This comes after the club struck a deal with Lille on Friday night over a £35m move, with various reports insisting that personal terms would not be a problem.

Now, it looks like he'll touch down on Tyneside around lunchtime and begin medical checks at the club's training ground ahead of an eagerly anticipated move to St James' Park.
