Sky Sports: Newcastle miss out on another attacking target as club agree bargain deal
Sky Sports in Germany have confirmed that RB Leipzig have agreed a deal to sign Toon target and RB Salzburg star Benjamim Sesko.
They report that they'll sign the teenage sensation for just £20million - suggesting mates' rates between the two Red Bull clubs - and expect him to join the Bundesliga season next summer.
This comes after The Northern Echo suggested that Newcastle were ready to submit a £25million bid but it looks like yet another target destined to sign elsewhere, with fellow target Timo Werner also heading to RB Leipzig.
The 19-year-old has also been heavily linked with Manchester United and Chelsea in recent days, yet he is seemingly happy to remain in Austria for another season before confirming a move to the Bundesliga in 2023..
Fabrizio Romano has also revealed that Leipzig are 'closing in' on securing the Salzburg forward, just a few weeks after confirming our interest in the 6ft 4' striker - whose agent held talks on Tyneside just last month.
After having bids rejected for the James Maddison, Moussa Diaby, Anthony Gordon - the list goes on - we can put this one down as another disappointing venture to sign an exciting young talent.
