“Here we go!” – Fabrizio Romano claims NUFC have now agreed Joao Pedro deal – Full details
Some huge claims have emerged on our pursuit of Joao Pedro in the last few moments, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that his potential move to St James' Park is now a 'done deal.'
The Italian reports that we have now reached a 'full agreement' with Watford, claiming we'll pay an initial £25m plus £5m in add-ons for the Brazilian.
He also states that the deal will include a 10% sell-on clause, saying that personal terms have already been agreed over a contract that will run until 2028.
Here's what he's tweeted in the last few moments, suggesting our third and final offer has been accepted by the Hornets:
'João Pedro to Newcastle, done deal and here we go! Full agreement as Watford have now accepted final, official bid worth £25m fixed fee, £5m add-ons.
#NUFC Deal will also include sell-on clause for 10%. Personal terms already, as been told contract will be until 2028.'
North-East reports from Sky Sports, The Mail and The Telegraph are yet to confirm a deal is 'done', but when Romano tweets 'here we go!', you can be pretty sure it's going ahead.
