Ismaila Sarr hands 'good news' to Newcastle in Joao Pedro pursuit on Monday morning - Report

Ever since Emmanuel Dennis completed a move to Nottingham Forest earlier this month, it's been said that Watford have no intention of selling their entire front three this summer.

As a result, some wondered if we'd find it tough to land Joao Pedro when news broke that Aston Villa had agreed a deal for one third of that attacking trio in Ismaila Sarr.

However, some potentially significant news has emerged on that front this morning, as The Telegraph's John Percy reveals that Sarr's £25m move to Villa Park looks set to fall through.

Reacting to this, Luke Edwards believes this is 'good news' in our ongoing pursuit of Pedro, with us still in talks with the Hornets after Saturday night reports suggested we'd launched a third and final bid for the Brazilian, worth £25m plus £5m in add-ons.
