Howe asked if more signings will follow Isak and makes telling admission on Martin Dubravka

Speaking to the press this morning, Eddie Howe was quizzed on further incomings and reports linking Martin Dubravka with a move to Manchester United.

Asked if he plans to make more signings after Alexander Isak's £58m move from Real Sociedad, the boss insisted he is keen to add more, saying he'd like to "push as much as we can to improve the squad."

We're believed to still be in the market for a right winger and midfielder following Jonjo Shelvey's injury, but Howe accepts that he must "sit down with the club" to see what's possible.

On outgoings, Howe denied claims that Dubravka is "in talks" with Manchester United, but confirmed there had been contact between the two clubs.

Interestingly, the 44-year-old then admitted that the decision for him to leave would be 'out of his hands', despite him being keen to keep the Slovakian on Tyneside. A sign the player wants out following Nick Pope's arrival or is tempted by a move to Old Trafford, perhaps?

"That is a difficult question to currently answer.

"Naturally, from my perspective, yes, I want more. But I need to sit down with the club and have those discussions.

"I'd like to push as much as we can to improve the squad."

Howe on Martin Dubravka:

"I don't think he's in talks with Man United but there has been contact with the clubs.

"That will be something that will continue to happen, as in the discussions.

"But in terms of the final outcome, I am very reluctant to lose any important players to the group.

"It’s a decision that's out of my hands really."
