Newcastle considering late bid for Celtic star available for '£15-£20m' - ESPN
According to ESPN, Newcastle have joined to race to sign Celtic midfielder Matt O'Riley.
The English-born Denmark U21 international only signed for the Hoops in January, joining for £1.5m from MK Dons.
He's impressed during his first few months in Scotland and is attracting interest from a host of big clubs in Europe, with Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United all said to be keeping tabs on the 21-year-old.
However, ESPN report that it's Newcastle and Leicester who are now 'most likely' to launch a late bid for O'Riley over the final week of the summer transfer window.
Celtic are said to have 'no interest' in losing the 21-year-old, but it's believed they would reluctantly consider offers in the region of £15m-£20m.
The former Fulham youngster bagged 11 goals and eight assists in all competitions last season, scoring seven goals in 26 games for League One side MK Dons before bagging three goals and two assists in 12 appearances for Celtic over the second half of the 2021/22 season.
