Newcastle hit with double injury blow as Eddie Howe admits "it doesn't look good..."
Eddie Howe has confirmed that Callum Wilson looks set for another spell on the sidelines - although he's "hopeful" the striker will only be missing for a "couple of weeks."
He doesn't believe our number nine has suffered anything serious after he was forced off midway through the second half in last Sunday's 3-3 draw with Man City, however his update on Emil Krafth is a worrying one.
Without knowing the full details ahead of a scan today, Howe admits that it "doesn't look good" for the Swedish right-back, admitting it's a "real shame" for Emil and the club.
The 28-year-old barely put a foot wrong when filling in for an injured Kieran Trippier earlier in the year, but it seems the injury he suffered in Wednesday's 2-1 win over Tranmere could keep him out for a matter of months, not weeks.

Howe on Emil Krafth:
"We've got a worry over Emil Krafth.
"We don't know what the details are currently.
"He's going for a scan today but it doesn't look too good which is a real shame for Emil and for us."
Howe on Callum Wilson:
"We don't believe his injury to be serious and we're hopeful he'll only be out for a couple of weeks.
"I back Callum 100%. I've known him a long time and I've never met someone with a better attitude.
"I back him - he's an important part of our future."
