NUFC release Alexander Isak's first interview on Tyneside - Watch it in full here

In his first interview since arriving, new signing Alexander Isak has revealed why he chose Newcastle, how his teammates persuaded him to join and what he hopes to achieve on Tyneside.

Isak, 22, is now officially the club's record signing following the confirmation of a deal worth around £63m, and our new man has already admitted it has been 'very hectic' - but worth it - as he's 'very happy to be here.'

Moving forwards, the Swedish international is excited about the 'great project' that we are building on Tyneside and hopes he can 'do my all to to help this club reach its goals.'

While he is typically a centre-forward, the former Real Sociedad man has claimed he sees himself as 'more than just a goalscorer' and vowed to be 'more involved in the game.'

On why he chose Newcastle, Isak said: "I think a big reason for that (his arrival) is the great project that I can see the club has going on. I’ve seen the way they play, it’s very attractive football and not least the amazing fans. I can feel that this city breathes Newcastle."
