Mag confirms devastating injury on Instagram - 4 out, 3 fit and 2 late calls for Howe vs Wolves
Eddie Howe has issued an update on the injury front ahead of Sunday's trip to Wolves.
Starting with the absentees, the boss admitted it "doesn't look good" for Emil Krafth after he was stretchered off in Wednesday's 2-1 win over Tranmere. The Swede has also revealed on social media in the last few moments that he'll be missing for "several months", confirming our worst fears and an unwanted early blow just a few weeks into the new season.
Callum Wilson (hamstring) will be missing for a "couple of weeks", with Jonjo Shelvey (hamstring) and Kell Watts (knee) also ruled out after surgery.
The positive news is that Dan Burn (concussion) and Jamaal Lascelles (broken nose) look set to be OK, while Ryan Fraser is expected to return after missing our last two with a groin problem.
Late calls will be made on Alexander Isak - who is eligible but waiting for international clearance - and Martin Dubravka, with the Slovakian likely to be left out once again if a potential move to Man Utd is progressing behind the scenes.
Here's what Howe had to say on all of the above ahead of Sunday's 2pm kick off at Molineux:
“We’ve got a worry over Emil Krafth.
“We don’t know what the detail of that injury is currently – he’s going for a scan today, I think.
“Currently it doesn’t look too good so that’s a real shame for Emil and for us, but until we get the scan results, we don’t know.
“We hope Dan (Burn) will be available, Ryan (Fraser) will be available. (Jamaal Lascelles) should be fine.
“Emil has a knee problem, but until the scan it’s very difficult for me to comment on what that knee injury is, because we don’t know.
"We don't believe Callum's (Wilson) injury to be serious and we're hopeful he'll only be out for a couple of weeks. "
Eddie Howe on Alexander Isak:
“Yeah, fingers crossed in time for Wolves.
“He will probably need to train with us in the next two days to be available to play….we’re very keen to see him get involved as quickly as possible.”
