Confirmed Newcastle team to face Wolves - Bruno missing through injury while Chris Wood replaces Wilson

by Andrew Reynolds ·

Team sheets have been released ahead of today's 2pm kick off in Wolverhampton as we take on Bruno Lage's side at Molineux.

Here is the team selection from Eddie Howe who will hope to continue our unbeaten start to the season:

STARTING XI: Pope; Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn; Willock, S Longstaff, Joelinton; Almiron, Wood, Saint-Maximin.

SUBS: Darlow, Dummett, Lascelles, Ritchie, Targett, Manquillo, Anderson, Fraser, Murphy

The big news is that Bruno Guimaraes is out with a slight injury that hopefully won't keep him out for too long.

Matt Targett returns to the bench after missing the last two league games with a dead leg, but striker Callum Wilson misses his first game of the season with a hamstring injury.

Both Jonjo Shelvey and Emil Krafth will remain side-lined for several months, while Wilson is expected to return in the next couple of weeks.

For Wolves, both Nelson Semedo and striker Raul Jimenez return to the first team after Lage's side only scored once in their opening three fixtures.

Here is the starting line-up for Bruno Lage who will hope he can lift his team from third bottom in the league:

XI: Sa; Semedo, Collins, Kilman, Jonny, Nunes, Moutinho, Neves, Guedes, Jimenez, Neto.

Subs: Sarkic, Ait-Nouri, Podence, Hwang, Mosquera, Toti, Dendoncker, Traore, Campbell.
