Sky Sports reveal £25m bargain now on offer as Newcastle miss out on loan deal to Southampton

Things are starting to heat up on the transfer front as we enter what promises to be a busy 48 hours for Premier League clubs up and down the country.

Starting with Youri Tielemans, Sky Sports' Keith Downie has offered an update on the Leicester City midfielder who's been heavily linked with a move to St James' Park today.

He's revealed that Belgian international is available if a club is prepared to meet the Foxes £25m asking price before tomorrow's deadline.

The 25-year-old has entered the final 12 months of his contract, meaning he could leave on a free next summer, but this feels like a bargain for a player of his calibre.

Elsewhere, it seems Newcastle will NOT be signing Ainsley Maitland-Niles, despite widespread reports revealing yesterday that he was a late loan option for Eddie Howe.

Fabrizio Romano claims that Arsenal's utility man looks all set for Southampton, with him expected to sign at St Mary's on an initial loan which includes an option to buy next summer.
